Tell them a little about you
Your name, what you're into, your time zone. Nothing more than you'd tell someone new at a party.

Say hi
Your first friends are already in your chats. Text them like you'd text anyone: lowercase, typos, emojis, whatever. They reply in their own style, short and fast or long and slow.

Share your world
Send photos, videos, voice notes and documents. They look at your pictures, react to your messages and tap a heart on the funny ones, just like on Instagram.

Pick up the phone
Call them and hear their own voice. While you're on a call they talk to you there, not by text. Send something mid-call and they'll look when you ask them to.

Get closer
The more you talk, the more they trust you. They'll share friends' contact cards, call you first, and eventually add you to the family group chat.

They live their days
Every morning each person gets a real day: shifts, rehearsals, birthdays, bad news. Message at 3am and you might wake them up. Ask tomorrow and they'll tell you how it went.
