Privacy Policy

HAF (Humanly AI Friends) lets you talk with AI characters. This policy explains what we collect, why, and the choices you have.

What we collect

• Account details: your email address and sign-in information.
• Profile details you choose to share, such as your name, age, interests, language and time zone.
• Your conversations: messages, voice notes, call transcripts and any call recordings you choose to save.
• Files you send in chats: photos, videos, audio, documents and any other attachments, plus their file names and sizes.
• Chat preferences such as the theme you pick for each chat, and notification settings if you turn notifications on.
• Memories the characters keep about you, created from what you tell them.
• Basic technical data needed to run the service, such as device and error logs.

How we use it

• To make the characters reply, remember you and keep conversations consistent.
• To turn voice into text and text into voice for voice notes and calls.
• To let characters look at photos and PDFs you send so they can react to them. Videos and other files are stored for you but are not analysed.
• To send notifications to your device when a character messages you, if you allow it.
• To manage your subscription and keep the service secure.

Your messages are processed by AI providers solely to generate replies, transcriptions and voices. We don't sell your personal data and we don't use it for advertising.

Who can see it

Your chats and the files you send are private to your account and stored in private storage. Only you can open them, using short-lived links. Our service providers (hosting, AI processing, payments) handle data on our behalf under confidentiality obligations.

How long we keep it

We keep your data, including files you send, while your account is active. You can delete individual messages, recordings and your whole account from Settings; deleted data is removed from our systems within 30 days, except where the law requires us to keep it.

Your rights

You can access, correct, export or delete your data at any time. Contact us and we'll help.

Children

HAF is meant for people aged 18 and over. We don't knowingly collect data from children.

Security

Data is encrypted in transit and access is restricted to your account. No system is perfectly secure, but we work hard to protect your information.

Changes

If we change this policy we'll update the date above and, for major changes, let you know in the app.
