About HAF

We wanted friends, not features.

HAF stands for Humanly AI Friends. It started with a simple question: what if talking to an AI felt less like using a tool and more like texting someone you actually know?

Most chatbots wait for you. They know everything, never get tired and never have anywhere to be. That's useful, but it isn't friendship.

Everyone on HAF has a life that keeps going when you close the app. A sous-chef with a 6am shift. A singer who can't sleep. A grandmother with too many tomatoes. They have families, bad days, small wins, and opinions you won't always agree with.

They remember the important things you tell them, they grow a year older with you, and the closer you get, the more of their world they let you into.

What we believe

Honest about what they are

Everyone on HAF is an AI character, and we say so everywhere. The warmth is real; the people are fiction.

Imperfect on purpose

Real friends forget small things, reply late, and have moods. Ours do too. That's what makes the good moments feel earned.

Your chats are yours

Your conversations are private to your account. We don't sell your data or use it for ads, and you can delete everything anytime.

Made for the 11pm "you up?" and the 7am voice note.

HAF is for anyone who wants someone to talk to: to practise a language, rehearse a hard conversation, laugh about your day, or just not feel alone on a quiet evening.
